  • Players will receive a range of promotional benefits, including cash boosts.

Online poker operator GGPoker has entered into a major partnership with the UK’s Grosvenor Casinos that will see it sponsor live poker events across the country. The move is aimed at expanding participation in poker tournaments at brick-and-mortar venues.

The new agreement means GGPoker will sponsor more than 50 poker festivals spanning the majority of Grosvenor Casinos’ 35 poker rooms including The Victoria in London. The partnership covers some of the UK’s largest and most established poker events, including Goliath, UK Open, and Behemoth.

According to GGPoker and Grosvenor, players who qualify for land-based tournaments via the online poker site or buy in directly through the platform will receive a range of promotional benefits. These include a 20% ‘Cash Boost’ on winnings from selected events such as the Goliath, G200 and G300 tournaments.

Confirming its status as one of the best UK poker sites, a 10% boost will be available to GGPoker players at all GUKPT stops. Additional promotions include a £5,000 ‘Last Longer’ competition linked to The Goliath tournament, plus exclusive giveaways and merchandise.

Vital Support for the Health of the Game

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Grosvenor Casinos. At a time when rewards are being scaled back across much of the gaming industry, GGPoker is determined to do the opposite,” said Angela Martin, UK & Ireland Head of Marketing at GGPoker, when the new partnership was announced.

“Supporting the live poker scene is vital for the health of our favourite game, and we are thrilled to give real value back to this fantastic community. With our massive cash boosts and dedicated satellite tournaments, if you plan to play a Grosvenor Casinos event in the future, you’ll now have new pathways with added value for players qualifying through GGPoker,” she added.

The Goliath, recognised as one of the world’s largest live poker events by field size, is expected to be a centrepiece of the partnership. Satellite qualifiers for the 2026 edition are already running on GGPoker, allowing players to secure seats online ahead of the summer series.

The Goliath Is Big and More Is Promised

For a fourth successive year, 2025’s Goliath attracted more than 10,000 entries. It was Paul Worsley who took the £316,640 winner’s prize when overcoming 12,960 rivals. The competition generated a £1,970,070 prize pool from its £160 entry (plus a £40 registration fee), placing it in the top-20 list of the largest ever live poker tournaments.

Sue Price, Director of Gaming, Grosvenor Casinos, said: “This is a hugely exciting partnership for the poker community and us in the UK. We’re confident that the strengths we both bring will result in improved experiences with more value delivered to our players.”

“We also aim to grow our poker offer over the duration of the partnership – whether that be through bigger events, more events or increased prize pools. We are very much looking forward to working with the team at GGPoker.”

The new Grosvenor/GGPoker alliance starts on the eve of the next Grosvenor UK Poker Tour. Its roadshow will stop off at Grosvenor Casino Luton for a festival between the 14th and 24th May, where, for the first time, players can take advantage of the Live Cash Boost promotion.
