The Field bet is a one roll bet that the next roll will be a 2-3-4-9-10 or 12. If a 3-4-9-10 or 11 is rolled the Field bet win and is paid even money (1-1). If 2 or 12 is rolled you will be paid 2-1. You can get more info about the field bet here.

Field Bet

The Field bet area on the craps table is large and for a good reason. The casino has a 5.50% edge on all bets placed there. Field bets are won or lost on one roll of the dices. If a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 is thrown, the players with chips in this area win while a 5, 6, 7 or 8 causes players making a field bet to lose.

Floormen are supervisors who are responsible for the casino employees running the games - and the games. Sometimes you can see a floorman standing behind the table watching over the game.

Free Odds

If you bet $20 on the Pass Line, Don't Pass, Come, or Don't Come, you can increase your original bet by the double the amount of your free odds after the dice have been thrown - to wager behind. To wager behind is what a good craps player will do and a criteria of good craps games is how many free odds the casino offers you. As the amount of allowed odds increases, the house advantage decreases considerably.

Free Odds Bet

A Odds bet made in addition to the Pass Line bet - Don't Pass Line bet - come bet and Don't Come wagers which is paid at true odds - there is no house edge on the odds bets.
