Córdoba Records High Slot Machine Intake

After processing recent sales data, the Argentinian operator Córdoba Lottery has reported record-high sales in October 2022. This is confirmed as the highest sales of the year so far. Córdoba Lottery operates slot machines across several cities in the country and all of these contributed to its sales figures for the year.

Profits increasing steadily in 2022

Córdoba Lottery has collated data across the past year of slot machine operations within several Argentinian cities in order to publicly report on its successes. The company shared that between December 1, 2021 and October 31, 2022, it took in $2,441,489,655 AR — or $14.9 million USD — in revenue.

This impressive value is even more noteworthy when compared to 2021 intake. The first six months of 2022 alone surpassed what the company earned in 2021, which equaled about $7 million USD. So far in 2022, this figure has virtually doubled.

The upward trend is easily explained when 2020’s numbers are also taken into account. In 2020, the company only brought in $3.2 million USD in revenue. 2020 was of course the lowest performing year due to the impact of Covid-19, which resulted in the closure of many physical gaming houses for elongated periods of time.

Córdoba Lottery, a CET company, has shared further data about each month of 2022 so far. The most recent months have generally been the most successful in terms of revenue intake, with each month reporting earnings of between $1.3 million USD to $1.88 million. In order from lowest earning to highest, the months were: January, February, April, March, May, June, July, August, September, and October.

What can be seen from these figures is that, with the exception of the month of April, earnings have steadily risen month to month in 2022. January to February saw the biggest jump with a difference of about $0.2 million USD in earnings, while the rest of months have had smaller increases between them. The total is also more than what the company initially projected it would earn in 2022, which is a positive sign of growth after the pandemic devastation.

These earnings were collected from Córdoba-operated slots in several cities, including Morteros, Villa María, Cosquín, Cruz Alta, General Roca, San Francisco, Mina Clavero, Río Cuarto, Miramar de Ansenuza, La Falda, Laboulaye, Alta Gracia, Corral de Bustos, Río Ceballos, Embalse, and Villa Carlos Paz. They will also operate slots in Almafuerte soon.

Hotel to be given slot machine rights

Villa Carlos Paz is the consistent top-earner so far for slot machine gaming, followed by Alta Gracia and then Río Ceballos. Furthermore, Hotel Piedras Moras, a Howard Johnson property, will also fulfill its goal of offering slot machines soon. The hotel petitioned administrators in August to be given the right to do so in order to help support its faltering business.

Almafuerte’s Deliberative Council were the ones to finally give their approval. This meeting took place last week and the votes unanimously came down in favor of installing the slots. The hotel has already established a location within the hotel which was fit for purpose. Those involved in the hotel operations had this in mind as early as 2013.

It is estimated that another 30 jobs will be generated via the installation and maintenance of the machines at Hotel Piedras Moras, adding to 40 existing roles there. Managing partner Marcelo Mallo spoke with enthusiasm about the project, adding that due to existing rules, at least 80% of the new employees must also be from Almafuerte.
