Kambi Will Provide the Technology Behind PlayFallsview Platform for Mohegan in Ontario

The hybrid entertainment resorts and casino operator Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE), which up until now was primarily active on the territory of the United States, has come out and announced that it will be launching a new online gambling platform in Canada’s most populous province, Ontario, with the help of its Fallsview Casino Resort.

The online gambling platform, known as PlayFallsview, will provide Ontario-based players with the ability to place online wagers on a variety of different professional sports, as well as access to online internet casino games.

As was made public as recently as May 2022, technology solutions provider Kambi will build the technology powering the online sportsbook for PlayFallsview, while Mohegan and Fallsview have also brought on board partners such as Pala Interactive and Intelitics to support the platform’s launch.

For those as of yet unfamiliar with Fallsview Casino Resort, the complex is owned and operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) and is situated close to Niagara Falls – though on the Canadian side, of course. This makes Fallsview Casino Resort the largest land-based gaming resort facility in Canada.

Mohegan’s Partnerships with Pala Interactive and Kambi Allow It to Deliver Premium Gaming Content

The news of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) furthering its presence in the Canadian market through the upcoming launch of its PlayFallsview online betting platform prompted Mohegan’s director of products, Todd Stender, to praise Mohegan’s partners supporting it in its forthcoming launch efforts:

“We’re thrilled to be launching playfallsview.com with the help of some of the most powerful technology in the industry.”Todd Stender, Director of Products, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE), Press Release

“Our partnerships with Pala Interactive and Kambi’s powerful sports betting platform has allowed us to deliver a full suite of the best casino content.”

Finally, Stender reminded observers that Mohegan would also be providing live dealer games via one of its many other partners, Evolution, as well as of course its usual sports betting offerings thanks to Kambi:

“We’re excited to be offering the top slot games our customers know and love, in addition to live dealer games via Evolution, and expanded sports wagering content powered by Kambi.”

Ontario Online Gambling Market Raked in An Impressive $162 Million in Q1 2022

It should come as little surprise that Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) is choosing to expand into the booming Ontario online gaming market, seeing as the market’s latest revenue figures for the first quarter of 2022, which ended on June 30th, totaled an impressive CA$162 million (£106.1m/€123.9m).

The figures come courtesy of iGaming Ontario, which is a subsidiary of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and was birthed during the preparation phase for the province’s online gaming/iGaming market launch, which occurred on April 4th, 2022.

Ontario online gamblers staked a whopping $4.07 billion CAD during the period. And by the end of the quarter, the province already had 18 operators currently active, operating 31 online gambling websites.
