Betway Partners with Miami Heat

Online gambling operator Betway has announced renowned NBA team and franchise the Miami Heat as its latest partner. The multi-year deal means that Betway will become the team’s official partner and its preferred free-to-play gaming partner. The news comes shortly after the provider announced its partnership with Philadelphia 76ers.

Betway to Also Enjoy Branding Presence in Heat’s Stadium

The online gambling provider Betway has revealed that it has signed on the Miami Heat as its latest partner from the National Basketball Association (NBA). The multi-year deal will entail Betway becoming the team’s official partner and its preferred free-to-play gaming partner.

Furthermore, Betway will also enjoy a significant boost to its branding, thanks to increased presence on surfaces inside the Heat’s FTX Arena, which is set to include LED courtside and baseline apron signage.

Chief executive of Betway Anthony Werkman expressed the operator’s excitement at working with such a storied franchise:

Heat Partnership Follows Similar Deal with Philadelphia 76ers

Betway is starting to rack up its NBA partnerships. Its deal with the Miami Heat makes the team the eighth NBA franchise to partner with the operator. Earlier this week in October 2021, Betway also finalized a deal together with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Similar to its deal with the Miami Heat, the multi-year agreement will see Betway signage on display throughout The Center during locally televised 76ers regular-season home games, including visibility on 52-square foot court aprons, courtside LEDs, as well as game-clocks throughout the games. The provider will also be presented on TV-visible signage alongside the scorers’ table.

CEO of Betway, Anthony Werkman, said the operator was thrilled to be joining forces together with the Philadelphia 76ers:

Betway Backed Safer Gambling Campaign in UK

Over in the United Kingdom, where Betway is also a leading betting operator, the provider backed the “Take Time to Think” campaign alongside club partner West Ham United in October 2021.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of problem gambling in the UK and signpost players to safer gambling tools, underlining the industry’s commitment to both upholding and raising safer gambling standards.

Taking a different approach than its previous campaign, “Take Time to Think” aims to encourage consumers to take a moment to consider the safer gambling tools currently on offer by operators.

The logic at work here is that by raising awareness of such tools, including deposit limits, self-exclusion and time-outs, players might be more prepared to maintain control over their gambling habits and thereby reduce problem gambling.

Betway CEO Anthony Werkman praised the goals behind the campaign:

South African National Rugby Team Also Partners with Betway

An August 2021 deal between Betway and the South African national rugby team marked a first for both the team and the entire rugby industry — a testament to Betway’s currently strong market position. Bringing much-needed revenue to South African rugby, the deal will see South African players sporting the Betway logo on their uniforms during matches. With the national team enjoying some of its most successful showings to date, this visibility is sure to come as a large boost to Betway’s already prominent brand presence.
