Both FanDuel and Bills Promise Deeper Fan Engagement

Chief marketing officer over at FanDuel, Mike Raffensperger, noted how the Buffalo Bills are a team which takes pride in connecting with their fans which, seeing as FanDuel is a staunchly fan-focused enterprise, makes the partnership between the two make all the more sense:

“The Bills take pride in being a culture that is built on genuine connection with their fans, and we are absurdly fan-focused at FanDuel, making this a natural collaboration. As we prepare to bring America’s #1 sportsbook to New York state, we will collaborate with the Bills to bring unique content and experiences to one of the most loyal fanbases in sports.”Mike Raffensperger, Chief Marketing Officer, FanDuel Group

For its part, Dan Misko, senior vice president of business development at Pegula Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Buffalo Bills, also commended FanDuel’s efforts in reaching its fanbase, noting how its content strategy aligns with its own:

“FanDuel has built a strong reputation as a premier sports betting destination for sports fans. The ways they reach people through engaging and entertaining content is innovative and aligns with how we think about connecting with our fans. We’re very excited for all this partnership will offer our valued fans throughout the state of New York as part of their gameday experience and look forward to working with FanDuel for many years to come.”Dan Misko, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Pegula Sports & Entertainment

FanDuel Appointed First Canadian GM in October 2021

Back in October 2021, FanDuel Group revealed that it had appointed Dale Hooper to the newly created position of general manager for Canada — the first of its kind at the company.

The new role will see Hooper be in charge of developing and implementing the provider’s long-term strategy in Canada, in which he will need to stay up to date on the nation’s regulatory and legalization process within each province.

Hooper boasts extensive corporate experience, having spent several years at the Canadian branch of the multinational professional services network Deloitte, where he focused specifically on Canada’s legal cannabis industry.

Amy Howe, FanDuel Group’s recently appointed chief executive, highlighted Hooper’s impressive track record and renowned position in the industry in a statement accompanying his appointment:

“Dale has a proven track record running high growth enterprises along with strong relationships that will be invaluable to our success in Canada. He is a respected leader known for his ability to scale business units effectively, a critical skill set, as we aim to bring the excitement of our sportsbook and igaming products to Canadian citizens. It’s with great excitement that I welcome him to our team.”

Amy Howe Became Official FanDuel CEO in October

As mentioned, Amy Howe only recently became FanDuel’s CEO, having been appointed as the full-time chief executive also in October 2021 following her first acting as the interim CEO since July of the same year.

Howe’s tenure at FanDuel began in February 2021, when she joined the operator as president. Prior to this, she acted as global chief operating officer of Ticketmaster, which is Live Nation Entertainment’s biggest division.

In her first statement, Howe promised the operator would not stay complacent, instead remaining focused on its goals and strategies:

“Since joining the business, I have been very impressed by the quality of our team and the strategic advantages we enjoy in terms of brand reach, product quality and the broad expertise we leverage from being part of the wider Flutter Group. That said, we must avoid complacency and remain focused on executing on our long-term strategy to build the embedded value of the business. I look forward to working with Peter and the wider team to drive FanDuel’s continued success.”
