Latest Odds Suggest Hamza Yassin Will Waltz Away With Strictly

If the bookmakers have it right, wildlife presenter Hamza Yassin will waltz away with the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing title. 33/1 at the outset, the Sudanese-British celebrity known for his role as Ranger Hamza on the children’s television channel CBeebies and work on Countryfile and Animal Park, is now the show’s 3/10 favorite.

Yassin has topped the judges’ score sheets three times in the past five weeks. However, his average score of 33.3 is marginally eclipsed by Molly Rainford. The 21-year-old Nova Jones actress has consistently scored in the 30s and now averages 33.6.

Despite the solid scoring, Rainford can be backed at 50/1 to win the Glitterball Trophy on the season-ending Strictly Come Dancing show scheduled for mid-December. She is one of six celebrities priced at double digits.

The Latest Strictly Come Dancing Betting Odds

Helen Skelton appears the only celebrity capable of denying Hamza Yassin the coveted prize. The 39-year-old has a similar résumé to Yassin and Rainford. The mother of three co-presented the BBC children’s program Blue Peter from 2008 until 2013 and, since 2014, has been a presenter on Countryfile.

The leading Strictly Come Dancing betting sites have Skelton’s odds set between 7/2 and 9/2. Her price has fluctuated very little since she was announced as a contestant on the 2022 show in late September. Helen’s average score is 31.1 per dance. It makes her odds questionable as she lays sixth on the table of average scores amongst the eight remaining contestants.

Will Mellor – 7/4 favorite after the early weeks of the show – is listed as the third favorite in the current betting. He is followed by the 50/1 shot, Molly Rainford. Tyler West and Kym Marsh can both be backed at 66/1.

The rank outsiders are Fleur East and Ellie Taylor. 80/1 to win the show outright, the Unibet sportsbook offer 20/1 about either contestant finishing Strictly 2022 as the top female performer. The same betting firm makes Skelton 1/16 to outlast all other female contestants.

Could Tyler West Be Heading South?

Betting on the next eliminated contestant is much more open. Unsurprisingly, at 3/1 apiece, East and Marsh are the shortest-priced contenders in the next elimination stakes. But Fleur East – who rose to fame in 2014s X Factor – looks harshly treated by the public.

The Walthamstow native is just 7/2 to be sent home at the weekend despite matching the series-best score of 39 points last week. A cumulative 262 points mean Fleur East sits third on the average scores chart.

Considering favorites have been turned over in this market almost every week, Tyler West could be the best bet in the next elimination market. Yet another graduate of the BBC’s children’s television talent pool, the DJ has struggled for the past two weeks scoring 29 and 31 points.

William Hill sportsbook has not taken note of these disappointing performances and makes a week nine departure for the 26-year-old Londoner a tempting 7/1 proposition.
