Gambling technology provider International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that it has received the necessary regulatory approvals in order for it to launch the Resort Wallet module of its IGT Advantage casino management system in Nevada. Solution Allows Players to Fund Cashless Casino Accounts
Major gambling technology solutions provider International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that it has received the necessary regulatory approval to launch the Resort Wallet module of its IGT Advantage casino management system in Nevada.
This news means that IGT’s cashless gaming solution can now be made available to Nevada bettors throughout the state.
The next moves for IGT look as follows: casinos in Nevada using IGT Advantage can now choose to allow players to fund cashless wagering accounts from sources such as bank accounts, debit cards and Slightline Play+ accounts using Resort Wallet and IGTPay.
Cashless Gaming Will Advance the Player Experience, Says IGT
Ryan Reddy, who is the International Game Technology (IGT) senior vice president of global PM video lottery terminals, systems, payments and poker, said that the provider receiving the regulatory approval for its Resort Wallet solution was the perfect way to end what was a significant year for the company:

In recent and related IGT news, the technology solutions provider announced a brand new partnership with Meruelo Gaming, in which it will be powering the SaharaBets betting platform in Arizona. International Game Technology (IGT) has also recently joined the global climate science initiative known as Science Based Targets.

IGT Joined WA Sports Betting Market in July 2021
Back in July 2021, International Game Technology (IGT) revealed the news that it would finally be entering the state of Washington’s ever-growing sports betting market, thanks to a partnership with the Snoqualmie Casino.
The deal will see IGT power the casino’s retail and on-site mobile sports betting with the help of its PlaySports turnkey solutions, which includes its revered trading advisory services.
This move should be of particular interest to Seattle sports betting fans, seeing as Snoqualmie Casino is located just 28 miles outside of the city, on Snoqualmie Reservation in Snoqualmie, WA, which makes it the closest major casino to Washington’s largest city.
Commenting on the news, International Game Technology (IGT)’s PlayDigital senior vice president Enrico Drago considers the partnership an opportunity for Snoqualmie Casino to widen its gaming offerings:

Rhode Island Expanded IGT’s Presence in June
As mentioned, 2021 was a pretty momentous year for International Game Technology (IGT), and in June, the Rhode Island General Assembly approved legislation that means the state’s gaming partnerships with major operators Bally’s Corporation and IGT become greatly expanded.
The legislation will allow IGT and Bally’s to undertake a joint venture together, in which they will operate as a licensed video lottery terminal (VLT) provider in the state, supplying all gambling machines to the Rhode Island State Lottery.
In return for the deal, both operators have promised to invest back in the state through the creation of numerous new jobs, which Senate President Dominick J. Ruggerio highlighted as one of the several benefits of the legislation:
“The Senate Finance Committee undertook an exhaustive review of this proposal and developed legislation that protects more than 1,000 jobs, guarantees significant capital investment, and preserves the state’s third-largest revenue stream.”
