Greentube Already Has Other Operations Going in British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan

Online casino and iGaming provider Greentube has revealed that it has just entered the highly lucrative Ontario betting market for the first time thanks to an exclusive B2B partnership together with Entain.

The operator, which acts as Novomatic’s online division, will become available for Ontario betting fans physically located in the Canadian province via Entain brands such as BetMGM, PartyCasino and Bwin.

The agreement comes not long after Greentube received its coveted supplier license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) earlier this year in 2022. The launch in Ontario is not the operator’s first in Canada, building upon operations already active in provinces such as British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Entrance into Ontario Betting Market is Part of Greentube’s North American Push

On the occasion of the announcement of Greentube’s launch in the highly active Canadian province of Ontario’s online betting market, the company’s commercial director David Bolas marked the news as a major milestone for the operator, standing as the latest stage in the development of its North American campaign, and proof of its fruitful partnership with Entain:

“This launch in Ontario with BetMGM, PartyCasino and Bwin is the latest vital milestone for Greentube. As a market debut, it represents the next significant step in delivering our North American strategy and underlines the importance of our key relationship with Entain.”David Bolas, Commercial Director, Greentube, Press Release

The provider’s market entry in Ontario is the most recent effort in Greentube’s North American push, with the company already active in US states such as New Jersey and Michigan with BetMGM. Greentube initially entered the US market all the way back in September 2021 through a partnership with Golden Nugget Online Gaming.

NorthStar Joined Up with the NBA in Ontario in November 2022

In other recent Ontario betting market news, the Canada-facing NorthStar Bets revealed in November 2022 that it had signed onto a regional partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the province of Ontario.

NorthStar Bets has thus become the official authorized gaming operator of the NBA in the Canadian province, receiving in return the ability to use official NBA marks and logos in its branding materials; its users will likewise be able to take advantage of full access to real-time NBA data while placing bets.

The NBA and NorthStar already hold a previously announced partnership, providing consumers with broader access to pre-game and live in-game betting opportunities within a selection of premium sporting leagues, including the National Hockey League (NHL) – which is consistently popular in Canada.

NorthStar Gaming founding partner and chief executive Michael Moskowitz provided a helpful overview for NorthStar fans as to what the partnership with the NBA will entail for them:

“As an authorized gaming operator, NorthStar Gaming will connect our players with official data and stats from the NBA and provide them with an insights-packed user experience. We’re excited to offer current and future NorthStar Bets players with an authentic NBA experience on our platform.”Michael Moskowitz, Founding Partner and Chief Executive, NorthStar Gaming, Press Release

LeoVegas Was Approved for Operations in Ontario Back in March 2022

All the way back in March 2022, a major player entered the Ontario betting market: Sweden-based online gaming provider LeoVegas, having received the necessary approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to launch its services in the regulated market.

At the time of the news, LeoVegas specified that it would offer online casino, live casino and betting through its LeoVegas and Royal Panda brands, though it had yet to actually receive its final license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

LeoVegas chief executive Gustaf Hagman made sure to note the operator’s existing presence in Canada, reminding observers that it has experience in other very similar markets already:

“Over recent years, the LeoVegas brand has become the third most well-known casino brand in the Canadian market and Royal Panda has shown strong growth – a clear sign that the mobile gaming experience we offer is appreciated by North American customers. Our full focus now is to complete the process and we look forward to launch in a regulated environment. Given our track record and knowledge to operate in regulated markets we continue to have high expectations and ambitions for continued growth in the Ontario market.”
