Catamarca Launches Holiday Bingo

A special end-of-the-year holiday edition of Mi Bingo Catamarqueño has been launched in Catamarca, Argentina to celebrate the end of 2022. This initiative is spearheaded by the regulatory body overseeing bingo games in the province, which goes by the full name of the Caja de Crédito y Prestaciones de Catamarca.

Bingo for a good cause

The Caja de Crédito y Prestaciones de Catamarca were proud to announce this week that their special holiday bingo offer is already available for consumers to enjoy. The new edition was launched officially by the organization’s chair, Rafael Ponzo Florimonte, as well as the province’s governor, Raúl Jalil, as well as the entire Board of Directors.

Catamarca Lottery has plentiful government support due to its impact on the province. The end-of-the-year edition, as well as the bingo’s regular editions throughout the year, generate much-needed tax income for various social projects.

The prizes will be tempting for participants. This raffle has a total of $91,950 USD up for grabs, which converts to $15 million AR. One top winner will receive $30,650 USD (though the prize could potentially be split if there are multiple winners). An additional 20 prizes will be available to plays, consisting of about $600 each. Though $600 might not seem like a vast amount, it will surely be appreciated during the holiday months by those lucky enough to win.

Magistrate Rafael Ponzo Florimonte is one of many government supporters of the bingo movement. He recently shared to local news outlets that Mi Bingo Catamarqueño works in a positive way for the local economy. Aside from contributing tax income to several government entities, it also creates additional income for local associations and nonprofits.

Overall, the earnings are typically earmarked for projects in the health, education, arts and culture, science research, and social assistance sectors. Another local lottery and slot machine operator, Córdoba Lottery, recently reported record profits throughout 2022; the Catamarca region can be hopeful for similar results for its various undertakings.

Florimonte also spoke about previous lottery intakes, stating that in the past the bingo offer managed to raise $76,625 USD to contribute to more than 50 charitable groups. Further benefits are given to sports clubs and social clubs, with each earning a small amount per ticket sold.

Players have plenty of time to participate in the special bingo, as the draw is not set to take place until Thursday, December 29, 2022. This will happen at the lottery headquarters on Calle Rivadavia. The public is also encouraged to tune into the broadcast of the event on TV, radio, and online via social media platforms.

Telekino available again in Argentina

The Caja de Crédito y Prestaciones has been busy invigorating the economy with various other initiatives as well. In August it reintroduced Telekino, a popular game for Argentinians. The various partners of the organization have been able to offer Telekino to players since then. Telekino was initially created in 1992 in Tucumán province, and was offered by Loterking until 2021.
