Legend of Football

There are few players in Brazilian football as legendary as Cafu. The retired footballer, real name Marcos Evangelista de Morais, is the most internationally capped Brazilian player ever, and has made 142 appearances for the national team. Beloved by fans all over the world, Cafu has had one of the most impressive footballing careers of all time.

The former defender has represented Brazil in no less than four FIFA World Cups, from 1994 to 2006. He is the only footballer in history to have played in three consecutive World Cup finals. His first win came in 1994, followed by a win in 2002 when he captained the team and lifted the trophy himself.

While playing for Brazil, Cafu participated in four Copa América competitions. He won the South American tournament twice, in 1997 and in 1999. To top things off, the Brazilian team were also crowned the winners of the 1997 FIFA Confederations Cup.

Cafu was central in leading the Brazilian team to accomplish this spate of wins. The country was the first ever to become champions of both FIFA competitions as well as their own confederation, the Copa América. It is a feat that has been matched only once, when France won the 1998 World Cup, the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup and UEFA Euro 2000.

The world-class footballer didn’t just play for Brazil though. He famously played for Roma, Milan and São Paulo, as well as Palmeiras, Zaragoza and Juventude. While playing for Italy, he gained the nickname Pendolino, after Italy’s high-speed trains. Cafu was famed for his stamina, skills and speed.

Cafu has received recognition for his talent and is considered by many to be one of football’s greatest full-backs. His countless accolades include South American Footballer of the Year in 1994 and he was chosen by fans as a member of the Ballon d’Or Dream Team.

Expanding Rivalo’s Audience

With all of these achievements to his name, it goes without saying that Rivalo has made a real catch in signing Cafu as its brand ambassador. The former footballer, now 51 years old, will star in Rivalo’s marketing campaigns on TV and online until the close of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The new partnership will take a special focus on boosting Rivalo’s brand recognition in Brazil. As one of Brazil’s biggest household names, Cafu will be able to introduce Rivalo to a fresh audience of consumers and build trust in the brand. Speaking on behalf of the betting firm, Commercial Director Neill Simpson said that Rivalo is proud to work with Cafu.

Simpson added that Rivalo is busy working on a series of initiatives that will feature the footballer not just in Brazil, but all of Latin America. Over the last six years Rivalo has built itself up as one of the leading operators in Brazil’s sports betting industry. For the next eighteen months, Cafu’s role as brand ambassador will elevate Rivalo to even greater heights.

Rivalo offers a wide range of sports betting products, as well as a range of live casino and online casino games. The platform is owned by Matchserv Solutions and has been in business for more than a decade. The operator holds a gaming license from Curaçao. It recently refocused its operations on the Latin American market, after offering its products in Europe.

New Partnerships

Rivalo has been busy in other ways, most recently securing a partnership with BetGames.tv. The deal was agreed in May, and sees Rivalo join forces with the leading software provider and live dealer. It has enabled Rivalo to offer even more cutting-edge products to the Latin American market.

Rivalo players can now enjoy many of BetGames’ most popular products, including “Wheel of Fortune”, “War of Bets” and “Rock Paper Scissors”. The operator is proud to offer customers what they want, combining low spend products with longer playing sessions. BetGames has been going from strength to strength, with figures in 2020 showing its games boosting in popularity by 300%.

BetGames.TV was launched in 2012 and has since grown to become one of the world’s most pioneering suppliers of live dealer betting games. The company is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, where it broadcasts live games from its head office to the rest of the world.

In January, Rivalo signed a partnership with Spearhead Studios, allowing it to offer the studio’s games on its platforms. The games have gone live to Rivalo players with the help of EveryMatrix’s CasinoEngine. Thanks to the deal, Rivalo’s fans can continue to enjoy fresh content, while Spearhead Studios expands its audience.

Spearhead Studios has only been in business for around eighteen months, but has released an astounding number of games in that short time. The studio hasn’t forsaken quality for the sake of quantity though. Upcoming games such as “Book of Souls: Remastered”, “Valhöll: Hall of the Slain” and “Quartz SiO2” boast sleek artwork, innovative themes and immersive features.

Spearhead Studios completed its Colombia certification process in June 2020, allowing it to offer its products to the Latin American market. The studio has been busy creating its own video bingo games especially for Latin America, where they have proved especially popular. Last year Booongo also teamed up with Rivalo to access the Colombian market.
