Noah Will Feature Prominently in BetRivers Marketing Campaign

Prominent online casino and sportsbook provider Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has announced that it has signed former National Basketball Association (NBA) and Chicago Bulls star Joakim Noah as its new brand ambassador.

As per the agreement, Noah will collaborate closely together with Rush Street with the goal of promoting its BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com brands.

This promotional work will take the form of Noah providing Rush Street Interactive with exclusive content for BetRivers, including weekly videos, while also being highly visible across media outlets and at multiple BetRivers’ locations and even going so far as to feature in a BetRivers marketing campaign across television, radio, and billboard ads.

Noah Spent Majority of NBA Career with Chicago Bulls

Joakim Noah boasts an extensive sporting career, having played in the NBA for over 13 years. The majority of his career was spent playing with the Chicago Bulls. He then went onto play with the New York Knicks, Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers. He was named first-team All-NBA in 2014.

Noah entered the world of charity in 202 with the Noah’s Arc Foundation, which uses sports and art to provide children with the chance of creating positive change for themselves and for their local community.

Noah said his partnership with Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and its BetRivers brand will have a positive impact on the city of Chicago and its youth population:

“Joining with BetRivers to create content for Chicago and beyond is a great way to connect with fans and to spread the word about Noah’s Arc Foundation and the positive impact we can have on the city’s youth. I look forward to joining the team to enhance the betting experience while sharing my passion for basketball.”Joakim Noah, Brand Ambassador, Rush Street Interactive (RSI)

Chief executive of Rush Street, Richard Swartz, claimed the operator was elated at having a former Chicago Bull join the company, promising a deeper betting experience for its players:

“We are thrilled to have a former Chicago Bull join our BetRivers family. Joakim Noah will bring his love, passion, and knowledge of basketball to help create a more engaging betting experience for our players.”Richard Swartz, Chief Executive, Rush Street Interactive (RSI)

Rush Street Interactive Reported Net Loss in March 2022

Earlier in March 2022, Rush Street Interactive (RSI) actually came out and reported a net loss for 2021, largely due to much higher operating costs than the year before. Its costs were $582.4 million USD, representing a 41.4% increase on the previous year.

This increase is significant because Rush Street’s revenue for 2021 was $488.1 million USD, which was in fact an increase from the $278.5 million USD it generated back in 2020.

The operator’s adjusted earnings before tax – which takes most operating counts into account – were minus $65.1 million. Additionally, its further expenses in 2021 included warrant liabilities, earnout interest liabilities, and interest expenses. This brought their losses to $66.4 million before tax. RSI’s income tax was $4.7 million.

RSI chief executive Richard Swartz confidently laid out the company’s plans moving forward:

“We are continuing our disciplined approach of balancing profitability from existing markets and investing in new market launches. RSI’s consumer experience leverages our best-in-class technology and now operates successfully in 14 total markets compared to only six at the end of 2020. Our track record demonstrates that we have been highly successful stewards of capital for our investors. Delivering strong shareholder returns remains our priority. On the technology and product side, we continue to enhance our offerings and provide a best-in-class gaming experience to our customers. As planned, we went live with our integrated iOS sportsbook-casino app near the end of 2021.”

Rush Street Has Plans to Enter Mexican Market

Part of Rush Street’s expansion plans into 2022 is to enter the Mexican gambling market for the first time ever, thanks to a brand new 25-year deal with Grupo Multimedios.

The deal is directly in line with Rush Street Interactive’s desire to expand further into the Latin American market, with the operator already holding a deal with Evolution Gaming to help distribute its online game products on the platform RushBet.co in Colombia.

Swartz took the opportunity to stress the importance and potential of the Latin American betting scene:

“We are excited to partner with Grupo Multimedios, one of the most respected media enterprises in Mexico, which we believe will serve as a great accelerant for building our online gaming operations in the country. Mexico represents an attractive market opportunity, with a population of more than 130 million, which, when combined with Colombia’s population of 50 million, will expand RSI’s offering in Latin America significantly. We were deeply impressed by Grupo Multimedios’ management team and long track record of success, including the growth of its digital businesses in Mexico, which will be extremely valuable as we launch and grow our business in Mexico.”
