Julie Allison Joins Team

Microgaming’s new director of markets is sure to be a welcome addition to the company’s team of top bosses. Julie Allison has over ten years of valuable experience in the gaming world under her belt. She has held senior roles at some of Microgaming’s top competitors, including NetEnt, Red Tiger and Paddy Power Betfair.

Now taking on the role of director of markets at Microgaming, her wealth of B2B and B2C experience will be a huge asset. Her appointment will reinforce the Isle of Man-based firm’s senior leadership team. Allison is expected to play a major role in developing and driving Microgaming’s confident markets strategy.

The role of director of markets will see Allison focusing primarily on directing Microgaming’s growth in new and existing markets. This involves identifying and seizing opportunities, as well as navigating regulations, which vary and are continually changing across jurisdictions.

In a statement, Allison spoke about why she is so excited to be joining Microgaming. The company’s prominent position in the global gaming market attracted her to the job, and she is keen to build on that even further. Allison is looking forward to embracing new regulation, supporting customers and guiding the company’s future markets vision.

Microgaming has consistently performed well and is continuing to expand its online casino offerings to regulated markets across the globe. On behalf of Microgaming, COO Andrew Clucas welcomed Allison to her new role. Praising her experience, he said:

“Julie brings with her a strong vision and wealth of commercial expertise earned in both B2B and B2C. I’m delighted to welcome her on board and look forward to working closely with her as we continue to extend our global reach.”

Allison is joining Microgaming at an exciting time for the company. Its content is now on offer in over twenty regulated markets worldwide. The firm has ambitions to boost its loyal fanbase even further, by making its games available to additional markets in 2021.

New Partnership

Meanwhile, Microgaming is mindful of regulatory changes taking place in a number of its main jurisdictions, such as Germany and the UK. The British government is currently going through responses to its call for evidence, as part of its Gambling Act Review. The results are expected to be published in a white paper later this year, and could include big curbs for online operators.

One of Microgaming’s latest projects is its partnership with online gaming startup, DoubleUp Group. It has agreed to offer its portfolio of popular games through the startup’s new flagship brand. Doggo Casino will go live soon and promises state of the art gaming, which it says players will find intuitive.

The new online casino will be integrated with Microgaming’s globally acclaimed aggregator platform, enabling players to access hundreds of amazing games. Microgaming is renowned for producing some of the industry’s most innovative and immersive online casino products, thanks to its curated network of independent studios.

DoubleUp Group is still relatively new to the gaming scene, having launched last year in the Netherlands. Since then, it has expanded at an impressive rate and now has a full team based in Malta. DoubleUp Group takes pride in creating iGaming products that boast both quality and functionality.

Thanks to this vision, the group is able to offer sites that champion the experience of the user. With the best games on offer and user-friendly sites, the operator has been able to keep customers coming back for more. Managing Director of DoubleUp Group, Ale Rallo explained why Microgaming trumped the competition for them, stating:

“There are many competing iGaming providers, but Microgaming is the perfect partner for DoubleUp Group’s launch strategy. Microgaming’s mammoth status and unparalleled game portfolio ensures player engagement and longevity. Together, we’ll create an enviable online casino.”

A Hundred Mega Moolah Winners

As Microgaming’s latest partner, players at DoubleUp Group’s online casino sites have the chance to become the next big winner of its famous Mega Moolah jackpot. Microgaming has become well known for its progressive jackpot network, which has paid out more than €1.4 billion so far.

For the fifth time this year, the Mega Moolah jackpot has been hit for a seven plus figure win. One lucky winner has landed themselves a life-changing sum of €6,597,136.10, becoming the hundredth winner of the Mega Moolah jackpot. Microgaming has awarded over €103 million across all of its jackpots, tiers and games so far in 2021.

The winner was playing at Optibet.com on June 4th, and was the first player on the site to hit the Mega jackpot. CPO at Optibet, Chris Davis, was over the moon to find out that his site had created the winner. Offering congratulations, he said:

“We were thrilled to hear the news that one of our players had struck the Mega jackpot on the legendary Mega Moolah. Not only was it the first Mega jackpot to be hit at Optibet.com, but it’s also a tremendous multi-million-euro prize!”

This win comes only weeks after another lucky player won a record-breaking €19.4 million on Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah. That win, on the Alice in Wonderland themed slot, set a new payout record for Microgaming. The recipient, who played at Napoleon Sports & Casino in Belgium on April 27th, won the world’s largest payout to date from an online slot machine.

Players inspired by this spate of lucky winners can look forward to trying out Microgaming’s newly revamped Immortal Romance slot. Players will be able to enjoy the new game, which has been given the Mega Moolah treatment, from June 24th. Rich on special features and free spins, Immortal Romance Mega Moolah now boasts a randomly triggered jackpot wheel.
