Cloud Hosting Provider Intends to Enter All US States Where iGaming is Allowed

The Stockholm-based IT and cloud hosting purveyor Internet Vikings is joining the fray and launching its expansion into the burgeoning US gambling and iGaming market. This move will come in the form of iGaming cloud hosting services geared towards licensed gambling operators currently active in the state of West Virginia.

The announcement comes as the company prepares to provide similar hosting offerings in all US states where online gambling is currently fully legalized and active — which is far from all of them.

With its brand-new US data center now up and running out of West Virginia, the Swedish IT and cloud solutions provider has already identified which other US states and territories it has in mind for future expansion: Michigan and Pennsylvania, followed by New Jersey, Louisiana, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee, Illinois and Virginia.

“The Cloud” isn’t the only digital and IT space in which Internet Vikings specializes at the moment. It also specified that it could provide domain name management and data and marketing solutions in the field of online brand protection to any interested and willing parties.

Internet Vikings Sees Lots of Untapped Potential in US Market

Rickard Vikström, founder of Internet Vikings, conveyed the company’s excitement around its introduction to the US gaming market, while at the same time acknowledging the challenges which lay ahead:

“We are excited to start our journey into the United States. It’s a huge challenge and wonderful opportunity for us. With this expansion we want to cement our position as a leading igaming hosting provider on a global scale.”

Leading the cloud hosting solutions provider’s foray into the US market will be Elena Kvakova, who highlighted a lot of the untapped potential present in the country’s hosting regulations and general market, believing that Internet Vikings is in a unique position to fill in this gap:

“As we were learning the ins and outs of the gambling hosting regulations and market in the USA, we noticed a few things that could be done better. And to us, a Swedish company, an agile approach and customer focus are at the forefront of everything we do. That is what we are trying to do in the key states right now – set up secure, reliable, cost-effective and fully-formed hosting solutions, so that the new providers that are entering the US market will be able to focus on other things.”Elena Kvakova, US Market Lead, Internet Vikings

West Virginia Gamblers Can Now Enjoy Caesars Sportsbook App

The US online gambling market is chock full of many major players at the moment, meaning that Internet Vikings is entering into a fairly crowded and competitive arena. And in April 2021, world-renowned casino operator Caesars Entertainment finally launched its hotly-anticipated new official sportsbook app.

The app runs off of the Liberty platform, which Caesars can take full advantage of following its £2.9 billion takeover of William Hill in October 2020. As it stands, the app is up and running in eight gambling markets: Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

At the time of its launch, co-president of Caesars’ digital division, Eric Hession, acknowledged the changing nature of the US gambling market and its increasing pivot to the digital sphere:

“Caesars Sportsbook puts the bettor at the center of everything. We understand that we need to be nimble, we need to give bettors what they want in terms of depth of odds and breadth of sports, and we need to make our app easy and fun to navigate. But beyond that, we want to treat every Caesars Sportsbook player like a Caesar. And that means generous offers and a way to earn through Caesars Rewards.”

Unique FanDuel & Scientific Games Partnership is Also On the Scene in W.V.

For its part, West Virginia is also becoming a somewhat crowded gambling market, following the entrance of both FanDuel and Scientific Games in December 2020 in the form of a unique partnership between the two gambling giants.

FanDuel has actually been the leading sportsbook provider in West Virginia since 2019. However, its recent partnership with Scientific Games means that users of FanDuel’s channels will be able to access online gambling content with Scientific Games’ premiere OpenBet betting engine.

For those not yet in the know, OpenBet is a scalable betting engine created by Scientific Games, showcasing a vast array of software options for online sportsbooks, including risk and liability management, turnkey frontends, and technology solutions.
