In mid-March, 2021, representatives from Pragmatic Play revealed that the Maltese company had struck yet another deal with a company in Latin America, turning, again, to Venezuela, a country often overlooked in the grand scheme of the Latin American sports betting industry.
Now, Pragmatic Play’s latest partner is Grupo Cordialito, one of the largest gambling operators active in Latin America. The partnership means that Grupo Cordialito will now have access to Pragmatic Play’s entire library of slots titles, but not its live casino, bingo, or virtual sports offerings.

Not Dissuaded By Political Tensions Or Economic Strife
Pragmatic Play’s continued expansion into Venezuela has not wavered, even as the Latin American country’s political upheaval and economic crisis persists. In mid-March, inflation reached a dizzying 2,700%, causing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to encourage use of a digital currency, what he calls the “digital bolivar.”
As of March 15, 2021, lines outside of banks in Venezuela grow longer and longer as residents attempted to withdraw 400,000 bolivars — a sum which equals just 20 US cents. According to a recent report by Reuters, President Bolivar is looking to Argentina for guidance on at least one key issue: public transportation.
