Malta iGaming Seminar Coming November 2015

Conferences that enlighten operators of internet betting sites are plentiful but some have more to offer than others. Determining which of the many congresses shows and exhibits dealing with online gambling available throughout the year is a difficult choice at times. One such event that has been happening since 2008, the Malta iGaming Seminar will once again attract the business elite in 2015. The Malta iGaming event is scheduled to take place at The Corinthia Hotel, St. Julian’s Malta from the 16th to the 19th of November, 2015. The venue is a four star hotel with much to offer guests such as six swimming pools and excellent dining.

The MiGS annual Poker tournament is one of the highlights of the conference that kicks off the event. Even though it is a ‘play for fun’ tournament, one can still witness interesting skills, bluffs and some really challenging calls. Drinks are served and networking will begin as sponsors and delegates arrive for the discussions. You don’t have to be a professional to play in this tournament but be sure to remember to register upon signing up for MIGS15.

The Maltese gambling authority is dealing with the issue of corruption in sports betting and is revising its standards to make things safer for consumers. A number of high profile match fixing and corruption scandals have shaken the sports industry.  These controversies have cast a harsh light on the integrity of sports and betting.

A discussion panel entitled “Sport and Betting: Working as One Team to Safeguard Mutual Survival” at the upcoming Malta iGaming Seminar (MiGS) is focused on developing solutions to restore player confidence. In order to restore the confidence that has been eroding with every new scandal operators and regulatory organizations must work together. The panel discussion will bring together operators, players, the International Olympic Committee, the Malta Gaming Authority and the Malta Football Association to provide participants with a unique and complete view of all the issues from every perspective.
